Dibz Parking app a hit with thousands of users

One of the biggest challenges that the country is facing right now is traffic. Due to the influx of cars, Filipinos waste a huge amount of their time on the road. Another problem that comes with it is looking for parking. Finally, a mobile application called Dibz Parking was created to solve every driver’s nightmare. The purpose of this app is for drivers to share parking spaces with other drivers in need of parking.

Back in 2016, founders Leeroy Shoko and Donald Saurombe were frustrated on how long it took them to get a parking space in Metro Manila. “It actually became a bigger problem for most of our clients during our meetings, which is why we wanted to come up with a better way to solve the growing parking issues in Metro Manila,” Leeroy recalled. Both were graduates of Adventist University of the Philippines, Leeroy taking up IT and Donald taking up Management Accounting. Because of their parking concerns, they decided to come up with a solution that would help Filipinos look for parking spaces. In April 2017, Dibz mobile application was launched.

According to Leeroy, the purpose of the app is to provide drivers a convenient and efficient way to look for parking. Through this app, they are able to save gas and time.

“Drivers can search for their destination and from there, reserve a vacant parking space. We guarantee that it is available when the driver arrives. No more circling the block in search for parking, no more waiting for other cars to vacate a parking, no more scrambling for loose change and lost parking tickets. All payments are made cashless,” he explained. Dibz is available on both IOS and Android. Drivers just need to download the App and register.

In the first two months since the app was launched, Dibz had only 12 users. But as time passed, the app started to gain popularity. “When we started, we had 12 users only and we knew each one of them. However, more and more people started to hear about us and fortunately we are currently processing 30,000 vehicles monthly,” Leeroy shared. Over 70,000 people have downloaded the app in both IOS and Android.

Due to its growth, they have partnered with some of the biggest real estate developers in the country to offer more parking spaces to its users. Aside from parking, they are currently offering valet services for events and employee parking for corporate clients. “We plan to expand our list of services to bring more convenience to users of the Dibz platform. Our Dibz Pay platform will allow us to process online payments for various products and services. It’s not our intention to please our customers, our intention is to amaze and wow our customers with an excellent service as we help make their everyday life less of a hassle,“ Leeroy concluded.
